JANA L. ALLEMEIER, NCC, LPC

Jana is a nationally certified counselor with a Master’s of Education in Counseling from Western Illinois University, having completed a practicum and internship at The Robert Young Center for Mental Health in Rock Island Illinois as well as a practicum with The Illinois Correctional Half-Way House Program facilitated by individual area churches and an internship with Transitions Rehabilitation Center in Rock Island, Illinois before being invited to join Transition’s staff.

She developed her expertise working with teenagers and young adults under 40 both in out-patient services and residential services at Transitions Rehabilitation Center. Jana has experience with many forms of therapy, choosing to use the appropriate style most suited to each individual client and their personal issues.
At The Center for Active Seniors, Inc. in Bettendorf, Iowa she developed her skills in working with adults 50 years of age and over. Her professional and personal life experiences greatly enrich her counseling skills.
She understands people are sometimes overwhelmed by the complexities of life’s circumstances and experiences. She has a firm belief God gave all people the ability to explore their thoughts and concerns freely when supported and empowered to develop their abilities. She believes all people have the ability to change.
Jana’s expertise is in helping adults and teenagers with depression, anxiety, anger, grief, stress, trauma and personal growth. She is a caring, compassionate counselor willing to accept the challenge of helping individual adults, teens and couples deal with their personal issues, explore their spiritual growth and the integration of Christian beliefs into their lives in a warm and caring atmosphere. She is looking forward to sharing her expertise and sense of humor with people as they grow and move toward obtaining their goals at The Center for Christian Counseling
