Pastor Support Groups, Discussion Forums, Leadership Trainings & More!

New in 2014 has been our Pastor Support Group – “Pastor, who is your pastor?” Facilitated by Dr. Bill Minser, CSAC, D.Min. (a retired pastor and now addictions counselor)  There is no charge for this group

Do you, as a pastor, ever wish for a place where you could be totally honest about some of your ministry and personal challenges?  A place where you can count on confidentiality?  A place where you could hear how others have found God’s help in circumstances similar to yours?  A place where you could encourage fellow clergy and be encouraged by them?  A place where you could get feedback on ideas for ministry?

If this describes you, then this newest group here at The Center may be just for you.  This group meets every other week, on Wednesdays, starting promptly at 1:00 and dismissing right at 3:00 p.m.  The group meets for six sessions.  Our current group started on September 17 and will end on December 3.  The next Pastor Support Group will start up again (for 6 sessions) in the new year – 2015.  If you would like to be informed of the details of the next group, simply email or call The Center and we’ll put you on the list to inform.

Pastor Support Groups
Discussion Forums

Youth Pastor’s Forum:  “Fostering Fellowship, Sharing Knowledge, Collaborating with our Church Community.”  Facilitated by Justin Bangert, LMFT.

Justin Bangert has a heart to help equip the youth pastors in our community in areas and on topics in which he has both experience and expertise.  His desire is to tailor each “Forum” to the needs of those who attend, as he is intentional about maximizing the 90 minute time frame for each “Forum”.

These unique “Forums” are offered three times each year (usually the 3rd Thursday in February, May and October).  The first two were held in May and October 2014, so the next will take place in February, 2015 – not too far off).  The meetings take place right here at The Center from 9:15 – 10:45 a.m. on Thursdays.

If you would like to be on our email list for upcoming Forums, just email us or give us a call and we’ll add you to our Youth Pastor Group Email.

Lead/Senior Pastor’s Forum:

Just as Justin has offered a forum to the youth pastors, our Clinical Director, Kevin Randall is planning to begin such a forum for Lead/Senior Pastors in the coming year.  If you would be interested in being informed of the first such forum, simply email or call us and we’ll put you on the invite list.

Leadership Training

At various times throughout the year the entire staff at The Center enjoys providing a wide-variety of leadership/training venues for pastors, leaders in the church, etc.

In order to better serve you in the areas that you need assistance, resources, and information, we have created a Pastor’s Preferred Correspondence Profile.  This lets us know what you would enjoy hearing about from The Center and minimize unnecessary communication. Then, as opportunities arise on a particular topic that you are interested in, we can provide you with detailed information.

Pastor Pass Offering – Justin Bangert conducts several “Life Skills” Workshops throughout the year.  Topics include: Boundaries, Parenting, Communication and Conflict, Marriage Enrichment, etc.  Worships are generally 4 to 6 sessions, 90 minutes each.  They are held in the evening from 6:00 – 8:00 pm or on Saturday mornings from 8:00 – 10:00 am.

Justin is willing to offer up to 3 pastor’s passes (pro-bono) for each Life Skills Workshop he conducts.  If you would like to take advantage of this offer, contact Justin at 274-8294 for more information about upcoming offerings.

Area-Wide Pastors’ Presentations – Usually once a year we offer a topical presentation to all area pastors.  Our latest offering was on the topic of Addictions.  We had six of our therapists present on different areas of addictions (including our Psychiatrist, our Psychologist, and our Clinical Director).  We offer these at no charge.  If you would like to be added to our Pastor Group Email list, to apprise you of our next offering, email or call The Center and we’ll add you to our list.
